Personal Data – what we collect and why we collect it
When a website contact form is completed it captures personal data. The form asks for your name, email address, contact number and any message that you would like to provide. The information provided on the contact forms is to allow us to contact you regarding counselling & psychotherapy services. Your information is not shared with anyone else and is not used for marketing purposes.
Lawful Basis for Processing
I collect and use your personal information because it is necessary for me to provide counselling services safely and effectively, to meet my professional obligations, and to comply with legal requirements.
Contact Forms
If you contact me with an enquiry but do not proceed to an introductory / assessment phone call, I will retain your contact details and correspondence for up to 6 months after our last communication. If an initial phone call has taken place but this has not proceeded to therapy, I will retain your information for a period of 12 months. After this time, your information will be securely deleted unless there is a legitimate reason to retain it for longer, such as a legal obligation or ongoing complaint. If you go ahead with therapy, you will be provided with the client privacy policy which details more about how long your information is kept.
